About Sparkman Law
I am a solo practitioner based in Georgetown, Texas and I represent nonprofits, churches, and other faith-based organizations. I have a deeply rooted respect and admiration for the work my clients accomplish on the front lines each and every day and I have founded Sparkman Law with this respect at its core. My mission is to provide sound legal counsel and practical solutions to help my clients fulfill each of their organizational and missional goals. I believe in excellence in all things and seek to provide this level of service for all my clients.
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and earned my Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan School of Law, now Texas A&M School of Law, in 2007. Upon graduating from law school, I served as a law clerk for the Honorable Bob McCoy of the Second District Court of Appeals, Fort Worth and then spent the following years at a boutique law firm providing nonprofit organizations, churches and ministries with legal counsel, before opening my solo practice in 2017.
In addition to providing legal services to tax-exempt organizations for over ten years, I also serve alongside my husband in his vocational ministry, lending my clients a unique perspective in pairing the best legal practices for the operation of a faith-based organization while also understanding the practical issues that arise as you serve and minister to your community.
I have four lovely kids who are full of life and bring a lot of joy (and lessons in patience!) to my husband, Curt, and I. In my spare time I love to trail run, swim, enjoy a good cup of coffee and a book, wakeboard, and spend as much time at the lake or on the trails as I can.
